Police scanner - Aviation use?

I have a police scanner and I have an antenna from C. Crane Company. My problem is that I have it programmed mainly for usage for aviation. I live 100 miles to the east away from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport and I can hear aircraft transmitting about 50 miles west of MSP airport. I have the tower and ground frequencies programmed in, but I cannot hear them. So why can I hear aircraft about 50 to the west of Minneapolis/St. Paul International airport, but not directly from the airport? Thanks.

My fiance enlisted in the Army and will be leaving for his training around late August. I am pregnant with his baby and we are planning a "" wedding in Reno, Nevada during the first week in August. Your problem is not that unusual . It is very often seen among Indian couples whose families are deeply rooted in tradition and customs .Judging by the manner of his behavior towards you , he still loves you but he cant admit it because he knows he cant marry you and then letting you go would be harder than it is right now . The only reason he said that he was lusting after you was just so you would break all ties with him ... for both your sakes . I see only 2 solutions to this problem and both are at the either extremes . If you cant accept the fact that he is'nt ready to go against his parents wishes , then you just have to let him go and forget about the whole thing . Or if you still want him in your life , you should ask your parents or relatives to meet with his parents to discuss about marriage , that way his family would'nt just disregard your relationship and it would'nt technically be a love marriage if his parents accept . My neice had a migrane headache and went to the emergency room with my sister (her mom)., My neice has a history of brain tumors that have been removed (3 total since age 2 years old) She is now 26. The hospital did a cat scan and a spinal tap. The cat scan came out ok and the spinal tap results is a mystery. My sister noticed after they dischaged them, that the RBC was 25 and when I pull up information off of the online medical encyclopedia, there should be ZERO RBC. Using that you can convert your audio file--song-- into Wma/Wav/Mp3 and a host of other formats, including Midi from my midi keyboard. Unusual Leg pain?

I have 2+ hours of bball practice everyday and my legs are hurting more and more everyday.. they're not sore they just get tight and my knees and ankles hurt really bad.. what can i do to stop this. I have a grinding noise at the base of my skull?

I've noticed recently that when I move my head side to side I can hear a soft grinding in the back of my skull. I can often hear noises from the back of my skull, especially when I have headaches, like soft crackling noises or occasional popping. All of this was most recently called to my attention last night when I was trying to sleep and could not find a comfortable way to rest my head on the pillow because it hurt my head. I had an awful headache and my lower back was hurting me terribly. So, I got up and stretched, at 1:00 in the morning... geez... hoping that would help, and that's when I noticed the grinding in the back of my neck. I can also hear this same noise when I move my shoulders back and forth... but that doesn't cause me headaches :P. Normally I would shake this off, thinking that noise and the headaches I have are two separate matters, but I just needed to be sure. Through the years I've had a few seizures, but my last seizure happened about four years ago. I had CAT scans, ENGs, and XRays done, but they couldn't find what caused them. Altogether I've had about five seizures through the course of fourteen years, and I'm only eighteen. What worries me is that, before having these seizures, I usually had a headache. So, it still worries me when I'm driving and have a headache. So. Are these headaches just normal tension headaches? Do I need to worry about the popping noises and sounds?

Is my mini fridge broken?

I defrosted my mini fridge and noticed that the wire going from the refrigerator to the freezer was just hanging off the bottom of the freezer. It didn't seem to be attached to anything. I am currently residing in a single floor with basement @ 8feet and 6 feet basement small bungalow with 700square feet each floor roof is 2 beam supported @8feet apart and the roof is @5feet high at center.Now the supports are not properly aligned from the roof down ,so upon some consultation with a structural commercial engineer i came to the conclusion that the three sections of support shoild be double size at each supportgoing down .Which leaves me at a basement wooden support of 8x8 is this realistic and what would be the savings if this would be steel (what thickness) and what size of footing depth and width from high strength concrete,is my question.

Well if the hiker was the only one that noticed this boulder falling, then I am uming that he had a stopwatch that was accurate to within 0.1 sec. And without special equipment, how is he to know where exactly "the last third of the way" starts? Was he estimating that measurement? I would say that you shouldn't even need a calculator for this question because the amount of error in these two obvious guestimations are too high to even bother with.

Why am I so ticklish during ?

lol oki, soo im super dumb :D Soo my boyfriend was sick lol and he had laryngitis lmao soo i saw him last weekend lol and we kissed and **** and i thought he was getting better lol... soo that night i started having a horrible sore throat. Chetco, you seem so smart, always out-doing me in answering questions, well i've got a question for you, i have a puppy, he is 11mos old, and a chow something mix. we are not 100% sure of what he's mixed with, but we think it might be pit, because of his facial shape and demeanor. He is totally adorable, and absolutely sweet, but there is one big problem. we also have two japanese shih-tzu's (purebred), and he bullies them. People can get hives(those itchy little bumps) from stress. I get them too. I usually take benedryl for them. It helps a lot, not for its antihistamine properties but because it makes me sleepy and kind of relaxed. I calm down and the hives go away. Sometimes you have to repeat through out the day.

I own one of these and had the same problem. Being a mechanic, I had to figure it out myself. The fan does not blow until the alternator is putting out more than battery voltage (charging). I've also had alternator problems requiring three warranty replacement alternators. You probably need to get another new alternator. By the way, with the engine running, you should have 13.4 to 14.4 volts at the battery.

My lease seems sketchy...we keep having things break down. The washer and dryer, and the dishwasher. We have told our landlord about all. I think my boy is probably gifted. He is certainly exceptionally smart. The problem is that it is prejudicing my essment of my daughter. He could not only speak in structured sentences at fifteen months, but could count 1 to 10 at less than 17 months. My Girl is now 19 months. Although I don't think she has a problem she is so far behind where he was it is difficult not to worry a little. She seems to understand ever so much but only has a vocabulary of around 30 words. At her age my boy had a vocabulary of over 1000 words. Unfortunately I am now separated from my partner which means we jointly spend with her less than 10% of the time we spent on him. I have a legal question?

I was returning my loaner car to the dealer, as i was driving through the the service lane, there was a car to my right, i was waiting on him to close his car door do rthat i can proceed on driving forward. DVD computer problem?

My computer has been running rather slowly recently, so I went through and deleted and unistalled what I took to be unecessary files. After doing so I discovered that my computer could no longer play DVDs. I looked through the recycle bin and the necessary files are not to be found. Whenever I play a DVD in realplayer or WMP it says I have insufficient codecs, and when I try to download them I am told my computer doesn't have the capability to play DVDs. I don't have access to the original drivers or CDs that came with the computer. How can I fix this problem?

Have you ever noticed that when people bang on about their rights, they are never interested in hearing about your rights. In this scenario, the babies rights. What about the babies right to a life, the baby never had the choice as to if is should be conceived, nor if it wants to be murdered. I think that should be included in the argument when rights are discussed. Once the egg and sperm have co-mingled, there is life. If not why is there a need for either the egg or the sperm?. Therefore to abort the foetus is to murder life, a human being. Why is that so hard to understand? I strongly object to aborting the child purely for contraception,it has to be wrong. I refuse to discuss this subject on religious grounds, but I will debate it on humanitarian grounds.

i dont know whats wrong with you. first off, there is no such thing as a guitar under $150- all guitars under $300 are just plastic and strings and they should be disposed of using fire and holy water. i keep telling people, it doesnt matter if you are a beginner- being a beginner is no excuse for being cheap!!! why would u buy an $150 guitar or even consider it. and i dont get what u said with a guitar thats "too hard to play because im a beginner" if anything, a more expensive guitar is WAY easier to play than a guitar that comes in a box. there is a difference when i play a squier strat from an embly line, and a custom ordered fender jaguar. ANYWAYS, squier strats are terrible and should be played by small children because they tend to break things. dont get the ibanez they suck. the last time i checked, ac/dc and led zeppelin didnt play budget guitars. if i were u i would save up and buy a nice strat, but first find a guitar store that specializes in guitars and find a strat there that is over $300. go for a $450 strat. you can find a nice american strat for $450 that is white and closer to what hendrix played because im pretty sure hendrix didnt play crap fenders. its better to start of on a nice guitar than a piece of plastic. i made the mistake of buying a squier strat- bad mistake. i was ripped when i bought it for $150 and sold it to a guitar store for $80. i dont think there is any reason a beginner should only spend a certain amount of money, probably because they think they might quit. if you make a commitment and buy something, dont quit out on it- girls dont like quitters.

No, public school isn't that hard, but neither is what you're talking about doing. This is LEARNING and it's what makes homeschooling so much better than public school. If the work is too hard for you, talk to your parents about doing some remedial work to catch up. If it's just more than you feel like working on, stop being lazy. What you're talking about is nothing compared to what most homeschoolers do, though most of the ones I know don't work for over seven hours... usually four or five tops. College is going to be like this though, so now is the best time to start getting used to it.

Have you tried TALKING to her- not fightin, arguin or yelling but really openin up and telling her how you feel. If the house is messy and she is really clingy and seems bicthy and unhappy- she may be depressed... I was and my husband left me cuz i was in a deep depression and he got tired of it. he left me and it has been a year &1/2 and a day hasn't gone by that he hasn't told me how much he regrets it and asks me to come back... but i was in the same shoes as your wife.. no job, no money, had been with my husband since highschool and didnt know how to be independant and do it on my own... when my husband kicked me out i had to do everything for me and our 2 kids on my own.. he screwed me over too bad and i still have love for him and i do want us to be a family but i just cant take him back! he did some really awful things thou.. not just to me but to our kids- that is a different story than this thou but the point i am trying to make is you may regret it and cant undo it.. also you may see if you talk to her about this and you two get counsiling and she learns that your time alone and wiht your friends is important maybe you two can find the love again... but you will need help- get counsiling and maybe get her some private cousiling if she is feeling depressed.. most housewives pride themselves on a clean neat house since it is their "job" i know b4 the depressionn i did.. that was a major tell in my depression is i totally lost it when it came to the house... i wish you the best! also if you do leave her 1) give it all you got and be sure you can say i tried my best to make it work cuz there will come a day your kids asks why and 2) it won't be the end of the world, it won't screw up your kid, and you can't be friends! i kno now it seems like that would be possible but mark my words- IT ISN'T!! you need to know that since you have a kid- if you split you may fight more than when you were together. also her family won't be there for you anymore- even if in the beginning they say they will. there will come a point that it bothers her and she tells them to stop. hope something in here helps!

The guy im seeing almost 5 months he never really texts me, he has been single about 3 years and says that he is just so used to being on his own that he just doesnt think to. When i am with him he is so attentive, we get on brilliantly, he says he really likes me and loves being around me. He has a very hectic job, he works over 12 hours a day. Ok so I have ONE cat right; well somehow theres 7 more in my house!
