Virtual Villagers? How do you get past milestone 5 if you don't want to download or buy the actual version?

I don't want to buy or download the actual version onto my computer. I'm playing it off of shockwave, if i'm playing it on there how am I suppose to get past milestone 5 if you can't buy things with your tech points?
