Username for Router?

I need help with my router. I think it is a cisco. Its default gateway is 172.16.0.1. I have the pword, but I have forgotten the user name :(. Is there anyway, without resetting it, that I can get the user name? I do have computers with administrative privileges on the network, but I cannot login. Would a sniffer find something like this? Help please!
