Need help i got a Green Iguana in dowtown L.A. for 10 bucks this morning and think its in bad condition!?

Okay heres the story. If you live in Los Angeles you know they sell Iguana's on every corner in downtown. I got one about 7 years ago there for 10 bucks, seen the the same exact one at petco for 65 bucks. I had that Iguana for 6 years and not one problem it got to 5 feet. I gave it to my dad and he still gots it. Well I decided to get another one so i did. but.. this one dont look healthy it has broken spines. well its missing like 2 chunks down it's back its a little crusty. i will take care of this iguana i just want to know if it's going to grow it's spines that goes down their back i will post a picture tomarrow morning once i get up sp check in and please email me and tell me any good info you got thanks.
