Am i being paronoid? 10 points best answer ?

The guy im seeing almost 5 months he never really texts me, he has been single about 3 years and says that he is just so used to being on his own that he just doesnt think to. When i am with him he is so attentive, we get on brilliantly, he says he really likes me and loves being around me. He has a very hectic job, he works over 12 hours a day. When i dont hear from him i get very worried, and i sent him an email telling him i felt about his and how i really liked him and didnt want to stop seeing him and that i hope everything was ok. He didnt dump me which i thought he would have after me telling him what i felt, when he replied it was all good. Am i being a bit needy and paronoid by expecting someone like this to text me all the time? Why didnt he dump me after the email aswel?? And because he has been single for so long do you think he is just not used to thinking about somebody else? help x
