What do you do when your house becomes an animal shelter?!?

Ok so I have ONE cat right; well somehow theres 7 more in my house! I took on two cats to halp out friends with the intention of finding them homes and today i get home and someones left a pet carrier with a cat and 4 nursing kittens on my doorstep. i can't possibly keep them and i want ONE cat. How am I supposed to find them homes without sending them to a kill shelter? note: theres only 1 shelter around here and its a kill shelter the closest one is 30 minutes away and i'm 17 without a car and my dad wants 2 throw them out somewhere i really don't have final say so the all have to be gone soon. help!
